【School Talk】Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School
Youth Arch Foundation organised a talk, namely “Positive Thinking, Overcoming Difficulties”, at Shau Kei Wan Government Secondary School and shared with more than 600 students in the early November. Silver Ng, a previous Youth Committee leader, shared how he has overcome family difficulties by the help of his angels and encouraged students to be others’ angels. Richard Choy, the winner of HKOSA as well as the champion of 2017 DSE, also encouraged students to pursuit their own life path instead of following the “successful path” shaped by the society. Together with the sharing from some F.6 students, the talk let students reflect on their life path and meaning.
YASIA 2017-18 Orientation Camp
The 2-day-1-night Orientation Camp for YASIA 2017-18 has been completed on 20 to 21 October. Through various problem solving and team building games, as well as the theme program run by our Youth Committee, participants were able to overcome difficulties and share the problems they have been facing. Even though everyone has different starting point and difficulties, they were encouraged by the sharing of Ball Chai that there could be a lot of ways to achieve success. Besides happiness and joy, the participants have gained friendships and parents’ supports through this camp. Please visit YAF Facebook Page for more photos.
